Wandering monster vs regularly adding monsters
Hi all,
I am a relative newbie to the game and couldn't find the answer to my question after browsing through the existing threads. I believe I'm correct in thinking that the Wandering Monster card allows me to add a monster to the original monster in combat and then the player in combat would have to have more points than the combined strengths of both monsters. For ex, if a player has 10 points and is fighting an original Level 8 monster, then another player adds a Level 5 monster using a Wandering Monster card, then the player in combat now needs more than 15 points to defeat the combined 10+5 monster, right? If that is the case, then how about in the case of adding monsters to the combat without the use of the wandering monster card. How does the math work? I understand best by examples so if you could give examples in you response, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks. Daniel |
