Re: Israeli Golems
Yes. It is meaner than the Mk III but not as nasty as a MK V. It is good as a raider but will tend to fall if it goes toe-to-toe with another OGRE or a combined arms force.
Supported by friendly armor and infantry, it is a real terror. 9 missiles and 3 secondaries deal out a lot of damage, especially when this behemoth is protected by friendly 'conventional' forces. |

Re: Israeli Golems
Have you used in any of the "standard" scenarios, one's you've come up with yourself, or a combination of both?

Re: Israeli Golems
The Golem worked very well in the 'Raid' scenario, also in the 'Fencer Attack' Scenario

Re: Israeli Golems
How did it fair in each? did it get beaten up, or was it a pretty fair match?

Re: Israeli Golems
The fencer scenario. a Golem backed by 6 gev's vs. a basic force or 2 Golems vs an Advanced Force is pretty balanced.
A raid scenario with a golem as part of the raider force is pretty interesting. Depending on what reinforcements the defender gets, it can go either way. If you have access to the Arab-Israeli Wars maps from AH, some other interesting scenarios are possible. I like playing OGRE minis using a desert hex map from Geo-Hex, I have some scenarios for it that play well with or without Golems |
