That's just called roleplaying. If the Ally genuinely helps you, and is willing to take your (reasonable) orders, then it's worth full points no matter how your PC feels about it. At best, you might have a Quirk.

The problem is, he doesn't help me THAT much, and even then, it's minor stuff. As for taking my orders, that NEVER happens, not even once in a blue moon.

Yeah, same thing. It's not that isolated a trope. One of the Dax symbiotes previous hosts was a serial killer that was suppressed but later made a deal with Ezri. To some extent Tyler Durton is the same sort of idea, too.

That just means his frequency of appearance as an Enemy (Rival) is greater than his frequency as an Ally. Hating your enemy probably isn't even especially quirk worthy.

Dude, we already discussed this. I was just wondering if there was something making me unwilling to have him around with me, but sir_pudding is right. Hating your Enemy isn't really point worthy.

What if it can do stuff beyond give you information?

It's a hallucination, and a hostile one at that. It'll be doing good just to give you some valid information.

I thought it also had external psionic abilities or something. Yeah if it all it can do to help you is give you information, then it's a Contact.

There can be a middle ground. Head Six, for example, was able to help Gaius Baltar resist D'Anna's torture and interrogation, but didn't seem to really do anything outside of his head, at least most of the time. This might be modeled as some form of modular abilities, mental only, or for pushing existing capabilities for a short time, with Granted by Ally.

A similar case could be made for Al looking through walls and suchlike for Sam Beckett.
