Combat starts.

Gathika casts a Sunlight spell, shedding illumination all around the mess hall.
Bain takes that as the cue to shoot two zombies in the heart. Both arrows hit, both targets fall down, one is inert.

The zombies shuffle into action!
All six of them move 4 yards towards the opening of the mess hall, carrying ready weapons and shields. They are now 1 to 8 yards away from the party now.

Bain shoots two zombies in places where they're vulnerable, leaving them laid out on the floor.

Vic the digger savagely stabs the nearest zombie and knocks it down.

Telrith and slateman have formed up as part of the line. Bushy stood behind Gathica, watching the rear, before combat started.

Telrith and slateman each evaluate a zombie, looking for the best way to hit.

TURN 2

The zombies move up another 4 yards towards the party.

Bain fires another arrow into the head of a zombie, knocking it down for the count!

Unfortunately, from behind, a bunch of bandits who were hiding in the guard post let loose on the party!

One bad guy throws an alchemist fire grenade at Gathika! Another throws one at Telrith! Two fire crossbows at Vic!
The earth elemental guarding Gathika's behind sees it coming in time, and may try a sacrificial dodge or block. The party has just enough warning...

(OC: Someone, please roll for me, sorry. The bad guy throwing at Gathika has effective skill 14, 1d(5) burning per seconds for 30 seconds on a direct hit or until target rolls on ground, if it hits the ground it is 2-yard radius 1d-1 burn/sec for 30 sec.
Another bad guy throwing alchemist fire at Telrith, same skill and damage.
2 crossbow shots at Vic, effective skill 13, damage 1d+4 impaling.)

The attack rolls against the players are:

Gathika (14) 10.
Basic damage: 5 (5) BURN or 1d-1 burn within 2 yards.

Terith (14) 8.
Basic damage: 1 (5) BURN or 1d-1 burn within 2 yards

Vic (13) 5 and (13) 14.
Basic damage: 7 IMP.

(OC: All three players were potentially hit once (Telrith and Gathika would have to roll damage each turn from the fire), each roll Dodge (Vic can roll Block instead). The earth elemental can roll sacrificial dodge or block, I believe.)

Vic parries the bolt flying towards him, while Telrith and Gathika duck out of the way of the incoming firebombs.

The bottles smash against hard surfaces and explode into fire.
(OC: I think most of the party expect Vic and Bain are within the radius of the fire, so they need to move out of it or suffer 1d-1 burn damage every turn.)

Vic the digger lashes out at three of the zombies, stabbing all of them and knocking them all down and out of the fight. One even falls apart and is destroyed!

There is now 1 zombie left fighting in the mess hall, 4 yards away from Vic...

Telrith turns about and moves out of the radius of the flames, presenting his shield. Slateman follows, even though DR 6 should make slateman immune to the flames.



Bushy will move either forward out of the flames or backwards out of the flames, following Gathica.



Do either of the burning puddles block the route to the bandits? do they provide concealment?
