Tabs minimizing and not recallable

Somehow my 'modifiers' tab has minimized and is impossible to pull up. GCA is not forcing the tab to be in the forefront / not allowing it to be recalled and I am unable to put various modifiers on things because of it.

Is there a way somehow to reset that to default without reinstalling everything again?

You can manually remove the settings for the Mods window from the GCA.INI file, to get it to return to the default position next time you call it up.

With GCA closed, go to %AppData%\Steve Jackson Games\GURPS Character Assistant 4 and open gca.ini with Notepad.

Find the block that starts with [WindowPos] and look for these entries:

ModsState=0
ModsTop=4290
ModsLeft=4290
ModsHeight=5505
ModsWidth=8265

The values to the right of the = will be different for you. Chances are, ModsLeft or ModsTop are numbers wider than your screen. This may happen when users switch between one monitor and multiple monitors, or if you somehow accidentally moved the window off screen some other way.

Delete all five ModsX lines, then save the file. (Or, set the value to the right of the = to 0 for Top and Left.)

Next time you start GCA, the Mods window should return to the default location, and be visible on your screen.

(If that's too much trouble, or confusing in some way, you can go to your GCA install folder and run GCAClearAppData.exe to wipe all your saved settings. That will fix this, but you'll have to manually restore all your other settings, too.)

Tried the first way and it didn't work. :(

Did the clear app data and that worked.
