Default Dying cursed sword

What sort of creature would put a dying curse on the weapon that slew them?

For example +2 damage and roll 3/IQ each time the weapon draws blood or go berserk.

Your IQ 9 hero was just granted a magic weapon without having to beg a witch for it so he's happy, right?

Yeah, you'd think they would put the curse on the person that killed them.

I guess you could just say this. The curse went on the person and they went mad. They had a +2 sword and attuned to the bearer. When the curse hit, it hit the sword as well.

If you are in Cidri, magic being phychic helps explain that futher.

This makes me wonder what the TFT stats would be for Elric's Stormbringer.

Not that I'd want that evil thing.

That is an interesting thought. I don't think there are existing mechanics to cover the regeneration and armor penetration abilities, although we do have a mechanic for possession. You could make it an Unique Artifact with rule specifically for the life drain and healing of the wielder. And it would be easy enough to say that it ignores 2pt of protection from any source or even each source in the case of armor with the Weapon/Armor Enchantment on it.

Only a fool, or a player, would want a sword that could take over your body on a bad roll.

Is the Jewel in the Skull a power stone or a self powered magic item?

It always comes back to Moorcock, doesn’t it?

Anyone want to take a whack at the Hand of Kwll and the Eye of Rhynn?

How about the weapon from the movie Krull.
Telekinesis even when they aren't holding it.
Wifi born in '83. Do you have to hold a dongle to be the wielder?

Other than dragons and greater demons, I don't see anything in the RAW with that kind of eldritch power. A witch/wizard might use the Curse spell, but I don't know if there is enough power/force of will to place a curse on a weapon.

Also, what is considered drawing blood? If I wang you with my cursed weapon and you are wearing fine plate armor, even though I'm 'inflicting damage' am I actually drawing blood or just rattling your brain from the impact? I would expect the second if you are treating the armor in a realist way. Enough confusions in a 30 minute period will put you out of the fight.

And speaking of curses, I like unusual curses myself. The only curse we have in game is the CURSE spell, and while nifty in it's own way, it does not cover the wide range of curses presented in literature.
