Default Unlife to Life

A Servitor attunement for Saminga.

Life to Unlife

This Servitor attunement of Death streamlines and improves the necromantic ritual for turning the living into mummies, much like the Zombi attunement does for corpses.

To create an undead from a living human, the human must first know that the process will destroy his soul and consent to it; otherwise this attunement does nothing. Assuming he has the consent of the subject, the creator expends Essence equal to three times the subject's total Forces minus the creator's own Celestial Forces, then rolls against his Willpower plus skill in Necromancy minus the subject's total Forces. This process takes a number of hours equal to the subject's Forces.

On a success, add two to the CD (over and above any increase gained by spending extra Essence on the roll). If the modified CD exceeds the subject's Forces, the subject gains a Force and becomes a mummy. If the modified CD equals the subject's Forces, or is less than the subject's Forces but is still at least 5, the subject becomes a vampire of Forces equal to the CD. If the modified check die is lower than the subject's Forces and lower than 5, the subject becomes a zombi of Forces equal to the CD, trading any Celestial Forces for Corporeal ones.

On a failure, remove CD random Forces from the subject. If the subject has two Celestial Forces remaining afterward, he automatically becomes a ghost anchored to his own corpse. If he does not, or if at any point in the future his ghost becomes unanchored from his body, his Forces unravel completely and he ceases to exist.
