Default Missing items Wishlist?

What items, maps. features and units are currently missing from the Ogre Video Game?

What would you like to see added to the game first?

What do you personally miss seeing the most, and why?

A dice roller that works! I know everyone complains about their dice, but:

I had a string of 15 NE the other day, playing as the Ogre against regular units using all odds from 1:1 to 4:1. Then the computer goes and plinks my Ogre MB with a 2/1 infantry getting a six.

I've also noticed a pattern at a specific point in game where the results are always the same, but the set up is different.

I won't even go into "Ogre Duel" and the AI ability to get five hits with six rockets, whereas I can never get three hits with six.

The dice are fine. They must have special code in place to roll differently when you are playing. ;-)

FYI on day two or so of release, I made a map with 7 town hexes in a ring, with a MkVI in the middle and surrounded by 90x 3INF. I shot at that things treads for over 1000 shots, and the distribution was fine.

This was prompted after going like 17 shots in a row without a 5+.

In reality, there's pretty much very little to really complain about ... a few small bug fixes, and I'll be happy.

Ok, so back on track...

Maps missing: All the green maps, and by extension, all the official Green map scenarios

Units Missing: LT-GEV, GEV-PC, All Wheeled units, Hovertrucks, all specialist INF beyond Marines, Vulcans, Ninjas (to be fair, rules for the other INF, Vulcans and Ninjas are still in flux), Lasers (turrets and towers), cruise missiles

Features Missing: real bridges, real terrain destruction (not just roads), overlapping terrain (eg, road and rail in the same hex), free-form play (i.e., just drop a map and some units, not have a defined scenario)

What i'd like to see added first: GEV scenarios and the ability to choose/vote on what scenario to play in ranked play matches.

What I miss most: not unsurprisingly, GEV scenarios. All I can play are Ogre skirmish games or the campaign, and the campaign is only against the AI (which still has some significant logic fails in it, so they are mostly just a novelty), I can't even play a human v human skirmish on the campaign maps. They are good maps, but basically unusable otherwise. Without the GEV content, the game is very limited for me. The LT-GEV and GEV-PC were odd things to go missing, too. Those seem like low-hanging fruit to add to the game.

If you haven't seen yet, I did build Ceasefire Collapse and publish it--as closely as it will let me at least (no CPs, no double blind setup)

If they're going to add GEV-PCs, they need to add INF riding vehicles in general - GEV-PCs are just a special case thereof. But I think GP covered pretty much everything :)

INF riding vehicles is in the game now - it takes a unit's full movement cost, so you need to either start with the armored unit in the same hex or move the armored unit onto the hex with an unmoved infantry. Then, select the infantry and there should be a flyout menu with the options 'Combine'/'Split Squad' and 'Ride Vehicle'/'Unload'.

Does it still have the weird thing where the infantry disappears from the map when you unload them? What about the thing in Beginning of the End where if you have vehicles carry infantry it freezes mid-game and then when you open a save you have control of Nightfall’s units?

Edit: My list in order of importance:
  1. Missing rules: terrain destruction, cruise missiles, lasers, ect.
  2. Missing units: GEV-PCs, Lt. GEVs, crawlers
  3. GEV maps and scenarios
  4. Barbarians at the Gate rules, units and scenarios
