My girlfriend accused me of cheating...
I have a question on the use of the monstrous ability, specifically with the ranger hero, for allies/loot like the bull whip. If I commit that to a fight as the defender, it becomes a monster. I think that part I understand. But, if the hired monster kills my defender can I then zap my ranger hero and save that "monster" from the discard pile? If not, I'm not going to tell her because it's funny when she gets mad but it would be nice to know! Thanks

Re: My girlfriend accused me of cheating...
If you play a weapon that has Monstrous to the hoard as a weapon, the Monstrous ability is effectively gone, and it stays a weapon unless it is somehow moved back to your hand.
It's only ever a monster if you commit it to a fight from your hand and pay for it.

Monstrous abilities are maybe my favorite abilities for cards to have. Love the flexibility. Beagle Scout and Bullwhip are so underappreciated among my Munchkin group.
