Numb has nothing to do with pain. Numb is not being able to localize physical sensations.

It would be interesting to have Compartmentalized Mind (No Physical Interaction), that being a mental compartment that can neither feel physical sensation nor control the body. Although from a dramatic point of view that might actually be something of a horrific problem, a la the combination Mute and Compulsive Behavior (Screaming).

In fact, it seems traditional to reduce the cost of an extra capability by applying such a TD. E.g. Extra Arms with Gad Grip.

What I meant was that Concentrate maneuvers wouldn't be allowed if the CM was "separating" from the physical distractions. The idea was that the CM could separate from such distractions as pain so that it could "think", focusing on memory and recollection, and knowledge and intelligence analysis, but couldn't make maneuver-level contributions to combat.
