Another "Cheat" question
The situation came up in our last Munchkin game:
Player A had item on him with "Cheat" card on it ("cleric only" item, don't remember the exact name). He kicked the door the found a monster there so the combat began. Player B played "Curse! Malign Mirror" on the Player A, so he could use only his armor in the combat. Player A claimed that in addition to the armor he can also use "cheat" item, because the item is illegal to use because of the curse and cheat allows you to use item which are illegal for use. What is the official ruling in this situation? |

Re: Another "Cheat" question
I believe Curse! Malign Mirror doesn't make the non-armor items impossible to use. It makes it so they don't give bonuses. Thus, the Cheat! ability isn't going to help here.

Re: Another "Cheat" question
Cheat! doesn't change what an Item is, just removes your restriction from using it. However, Malign Mirror says you don't get a bonus from non-Armor Items, not that you can not use them. That means no bonus, Cheat! or no.

Re: Another "Cheat" question
MunchkinMan's ruling still applies. Cheat! doesn't stop the Armor being Armor, so the bonus of both Armors will still apply while you are cursed by Curse! Malign Mirror.
