Default Knight light

Does this item work similar to ...of Doom card? Of course except that it can be worn on another headgear later of course. It says on the card that it's lost if current headgear is lost. But if it's stolen or looted from a body, would it be "lost" (=mucked) to discard pile or "lost" (transfered with the item) to another player?

Knight Light is its own individual card which can be looted. It does not go with whatever other Headgear you had been wearing at the time. I may have said the same a long time ago, with respect to Items like these, which aren't really like cards like ... Of Doom, which can't be removed from the Item to which they are attached. Even still, a card like ... Of Doom would be its own separate card for purposes of looting, based on some discussions Andrew and I had, and a post Andrew made with respect to the Cheat! card and looting.

So of the headgear was stolen (theft), knight light is discarded?

No, if the Headgear is stolen, the Knight Light would go with it, just like Knight Light says it would.
