Default Striking ST, one attack only?

I've got a kludge, which works for now.

How would I go about modifying (adding a modifier to either the Striking ST, or to the Attack) the character to get the bonus ST without adding it to everything else?

Add the modifier "Doesn't give general damage bonus" to Striking ST and rename it to whatever suits your usage.

But, that doesn't, actually, increase the damage on the attack. Best I can tell, it simply, effectively, removes the level of Striking ST from consideration:

-owner::level to ST:Striking ST

There is no corresponding modifier I can put on the item to ensure that it calculates the Striking ST properly for that weapon.

Option 1) Add the Striking ST advantage to your character. Add the name extension "Broadsword" (for this example, or otherwise named to be obvious it applies to just the one weapon).

Edit the advantage, and change gives(+1 to ST:Striking ST) to gives(+1 to EQ:Broadsword::effectivest). Change the cost to whatever it needs to be.

This version of Striking ST now applies only to Broadswords (or whatever you need).

Option 2) Add a new modifier to your Broadsword. Set the name, set the cost, leave the weight at +0. Then click on it and select Edit, then Full Edit Window. Click into the gives() Value column, and enter +1 to owner::effectivest. Click OK back out.

You'll get +1 to that weapon's effective ST, and if your cost is leveled, you'll get that for each level of the modifier.

Thank you, Armin, this is the solution I was looking for.
