Wb, thanks for doing this important work for the GURPS book user community, and I hope your father is alright.

Me too. :-)

I don't mind. And thanks, Peter. It looks like within a year he'll make a full recovery. He's a stubborn fella. Made of old boot leather and nails. :-)

I could, but that would be cheating... and as Buffy teaches us, That Would Be Wrong. :)

Now, this is unexpected. Not that I'm going to complain about something new when I was expecting another "no release this week" message.

GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Treasures 1: Glittering Prizes is what we get.

I bought this book and have read through most of it. I really enjoyed this book and it was an interesting read because it had all sorts of historical information about coins and treasure. The only thing I would change would be to make it a little longer and have Advance Social Studies include some real historical cultures for motifs like maybe the Egyptians, Balinese, Islamic or Indian cultures for an easy reference. One of the the best DF books so far IMO.

And this week we get Pyramid #3/85: Cutting Edge. Hopefully it'll get into my subscription soon.

I've already written about how cool this issue's articles are, and you'll see that when Kromm posts our usual shared promo piece in the GURPS forum. So with that taken as a given, I've got to gush about the cover -- I really think this month's is my favorite one to date. It's hard to say that because I really love the concept behind September's, but this one is just So. Damned. Pretty.

Brandon Moore is worth at least every penny he's being paid. And I'm not just saying that because he got Queen Mob absolutely right. That's a hell of a cover.

I'm a huge fan of Ultra-Tech pyramids (they form the backbone to many of my campaigns) and this one did not fail to deliver. My only quibble is that it seems pretty fixated on TL 9 (especially with the armor-design system) rather than later TLs, which is to say "It was so good, I wanted more of it."
