I remember an old outdoorsman joke about there being two kinds of cows: Fast mean cows, and slow mean cows. They're big animals, and you should treat them with respect.

Best of all, when the PCs shoot them, they now owe the owner a thousand dollars a head or so.

The Ritman Library of Amsterdam, a collection of 1600 books on the occult, astrology, alchemy, and outright magic, has been digitized and is now available online.

Great for browsing for flavor, especially if you read Latin -- there are some English texts, however, such as "Aesch mezareph or purifying fire. A chymico-kabalistic treatise collected from the Kabala denudata of Knorr von Rosenroth. Translated by a lover of Philalethes, 1714."

Definitely a couple of tomes in there for the studious Victorian-or-later magician!

This could definitely have gameable applications, and by some standards it's definitely weird:

Inflatable Aircraft

It's not the fastest thing in the sky, but I could imagine a PC finding one of these handy...

This is even better than the helicopter in a couple of trunks from You Only Live Twice. Stolen for my 60s spy campaign I'm working on.
