Re: [DF] Limited Teleport Spell: an acceptable option?
I like the idea of elemental teleport. Sort of like the permeation advantage maybe with a few tweaks. I imagined two different versions, one requiring continuity of the element and other being a true teleport (like entering a lake and emerging in other lake). Air teleport could be cloud vaulting or just be an almost unmodified teleport spell, fire would be the less efficient one, as fire is the hardest element to find. Shadow and light could be interesting possibilities. A cleric could teleport to temples of his faith, a forest teleport could be interesting for elves and druids. A necromancer could use dead bodies as portals. A mind mage could go anywhere he could sense a mind. I like most of these possibilities.

What would be the effect for a water mage or a earth mage?

This is up to your imagination. I remember to have seen a water teleport in some game, but I don't recall it right now.
EDIT: I think the water teleport was something like the teleporter becoming a humanoid body of water that instantly sinks in a pool, emerging in another pool as a body of water that turns it to the human form. Last edited by Carlos; 01-24-2013 at 05:17 AM. |
