Default Action/Lite

I plan on running an Action one shot on a upcoming camping trip and want to carry the minimum necessary amount. Can anyone think of anything else I need to print other than Lite, Action 1-3 and perhaps the GM screen?

Any thoughts will be appreciated. This looks to be a good chance to create some new GURPS players

As long as you've got Basic on hand for reference for the things Lite doesn't cover (and you definitely will need Basic), those book should do it. In fact, I wouldn't even bother with Action 3 unless you want to actively encourage martial artists and hand-to-hand combat. Action 1 and Action 2 are already more than enough for new players to deal with. Indeed, you might want to discuss characters with your players before you start, build characters according to what they want, and only print out those rather than the template pages from Action 1.

I have basic, but I'm looking to print just the relevant bits and spiral bind them so I don't have to carry either the hardbacks or a tablet to read the PDFs in my pack.

This! Especially for quickly searching for a specific rule a tablet is much easier and faster IMO than having the book. Books are god for reading at home or if the players need to make characters. But for checking specific rules I go for PDF's. :)

He's going camping, and specifically said he doesn't want to take a tablet, so no pdf's.

You might want to check the trait lists in Action 1, chapter 2, and check any not specifically covered in Lite.
Also checkout Shotgun rules, as I have a feeling Lite skips over the MxN RoF rules.
I suspect you can get away without anything else, go with the rule of cool, that should cover almost anything else in genre.

Thanks. That's the kind of info I'm after. I'd bring my tablet, but a 10 hour battery life just won't cut it.
