Fast-draw (arrow) ....without the roll every turn?
I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious here, but how many CP of what does a character need to buy to get the effect of Fast-Draw without having to roll for it?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Fast-draw (arrow) ....without the roll every turn?
In my campaign, Fast-Draw (Arrow) at skill 16+, the Perk Rules Excemption (No-Nuisance Rolls allowed in combat with Fast-Draw (Arrow)) and finally the Perk No-Nuisance Rolls (Fast-Draw (Arrow)).
For someone with DX 12 and Combat Reflexes (or just DX 13), that's a total of 10 points. Cheaper if you have higher DX and more expensive if you have lower DX.

Where in the book can I find the No-Nuisance Roll thingy? I remember seeing it before somewhere.

For $5.99 and in two to three minutes, it could be in your virtual hands.

Cool.
Is the Perk Rules Excemption (No-Nuisance Rolls allowed in combat with Fast-Draw (Arrow)) thingy your own idea or is that in there somewhere too? |

Re: Fast-draw (arrow) ....without the roll every turn?
Rules Excemption is in that book and given that No-Nuisance Rolls is by default not meant to work for combat skill rolls, I felt that it might be fair to charge a small additional surcharge for allowing an excemption from that.

Re: Fast-draw (arrow) ....without the roll every turn?
It originates in GURPS Supers, where it's used, for example, to let Spider-man or Tarzan swing from place to place without having to make a Per roll each time they need a new tree or building to swing from.
I might actually allow it to be used with Fast-Draw (Arrow) without an extra perk. It's not directly a combat roll, but a secondary roll than enables combat rolls. So I don't see it as directly abusive. On the other hand, I could see a GM wanting to have rapid fire be risky and thus not allowing it. Bill Stoddard |

There's a part of me that things certain skills should just not have an automatic failure chance; if you have a modified skill of 18, you never fail.

I should say I don't bother with "Rules Exemption." I just figure Heroic Archer is good enough to cover that.
