Default [Spaceships] Shatterzone conversion

So I have been having issues with trying to use Spaceships to convert Shatterzone ships to 4th edition. Shatterzone seems to be TL11.

Issues.
Propulsion:The game uses propulsion points to direct movement. It can be assumed that Shatterzone ships use reaction-less engines as there is no fuel used for space flight and the engines use power from the reactor to create thrust. Shatterzone also uses space units for spacecraft movement and thrust. Where one PP=1 SU of movement or a one side turn(45%). Space units are never given a distance in the game so it is hard to figure out a speed for these ships.

Stardrives: In Shatterzone there are 2 types of stardrives. Both use power to operate, but this is determined by the size of the ship not the distance traveled.

Q-drives: which allow a ship to travel an unlimited distance at a rate of 1 ly per day with a minimum jump of one ly. This is a TL11^ drive that was found and no one truly knows how they work.

Skip-drive: which works in all the same ways as a Q-drive, but allows shorter jumps of less then a light year. The game does not give a minimum jump range for this drive.

Ship size: Most if not all the ships in Shatterzone seem to fall between the tonnages given in Spaceships. With a great many of them falling almost dead center between two numbers.

Weapons: Weapons in Shatterzone are another issue for conversion. Weapons in Shatterzone are installed individually and have set damages ratings and power generation is non-linear with power points not having any real world equivalents.

Weapon types are:
Machine cannons (Only used for point defense): With extremely short ranges, and rapid fire (rate not given) these weapons are effect only at short range against missiles and extremely close ships.

Laser weapons (Laser weapons): long range with power ratings by type, most variation are to rate of fire (between 1-11 shots per 10 sec round) with little to no variation to power level.

Blaster cannons (Particle accelerators): These weapons have high damage, med range, with most variation being to rate of fire(Gatling blasters), with Gatling blasters only differing from standard blasters in number of shots and the only other variation being the Maxi-blaster

Shields/Armor: Shields in Shatterzone do not go up in strength with ship size or power usage. The type of shield and its rating level at installed determines its DR.
Armor also does not increase with ship size, but only with tonnage of armor. With some dreadnought class ships not even have much armor at all

Combat:The current combat rules for Spaceships seem to leasing the effective use of pilots. With one of my players playing a starship pilot this is an issue.

So as you can see I am have some issues getting Spaceships to work with this conversion without losing the feel of the ships. I have tried to just use Spaceships as written and just set some values (1PP= 1G etc.) but this has not worked as the ranges from one game or the other are either to high or to low with the Shatterzone ranges falling at both extremes and everywhere in-between. Another issues has been the lack or abundance of critical slots. On some ships there are to many to fill, where on others there are to few.

Any useful help or suggestions would be welcomed
