Cultish Membership Card and Ending the Game

If I am the only non-cultist in the game but my level is not high enough to win if I was a cultist. Can I still use the Cult Membership card to be a Cultist if it benefits me, but not end the game?

The Cult Membership Card* lets you be a Cultist for those purposes you choose, and for ONLY those purposes. So yes, you can choose to be a Cultist to get the attack bonus in a fight, without choosing to be one for the game-ending condition.

* This is the card actually in Munchkin Cthulhu. There is also a promo card called that, but its effects are completely different.

I was under the impression that the Cult Membership Card couldn't be used to end the game or make the last non-Cultist go up a level, but it appears that's not correct. So let me verify, Andrew, that it can be used for those purposes at the discretion of the person who is using it.

Per Steve, the CMC may be used to be a Cultist or not be a Cultist for ANY purpose.
