Re: Ravens N' Pennies - GURPS Content Posts
I'm not sure why you went on to continue justifying something I already agreed with, unless perhaps you didn't recognize it as agreement. I'm sarcastic a lot, so I get why you might think I was being sarcastic then, but I wasn't. Soak rules definitely would have more place in Stat Blind games.

Gamemaster's Guidepost: Dirty Laundry
Now, a clever man would put points into a Contact to know the dirty secrets of others, because he would know that only a great fool of a GM would just *give* him that knowledge. As you [the GM] are not a great fool, I can clearly must choose the Contact - but not the one you suggest...wait. What? So how do you start a game knowing someone elses' secrets? Well...there are a couple of ways... Note: This was posted yesterday to my blog, but the forums were down and I couldn't do my usual announcement.

Fairy Nuff. Sometimes people start sarcastic statements with "sure". Sorry for any confusion. In other news, I love using contacts like that :D

Gamemaster's Guidepost: NPC Frequency of Appearance in Game Time
Every GM has his or her own house rules and I'm no different. I don't typically make radical changes to the system - because really, I think it works just about perfectly. But one thing I do happen to dislike is how allies are treated...

Re: Ravens N' Pennies - GURPS Content Posts
On the importance of proper communication between DM and Player in the chargen process it can even go horribly awry when the DM and Player are actually trying to communicate
Player: "Speaking of TL 5, I totally want to play a Dragon Rider for the Pirates of the Caribean thing, say a French Knight who fled the country before the Republic decided to lop his head off and such during the Revolution, and thus is willing to fight for England against the accursed Jacobins and their Spanish dogs" DM: "(Other PC) hates the french, he'll get along just fine with your knight." And the DM and Player both go off thinking very different ideas about what Player wanted as a PC |

Re: Ravens N' Pennies - GURPS Content Posts
GURPS101: I got all the Heals
"Bring on the healbots!" "My character is not a "healbot" he is a complicated man with a checkered past..." "HEAL ME NOW, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR STUPID PAST, CLERIC!" *sigh* "Fine. I heal his character...I guess that's my go this round..." GURPS has a ton of ways of making a "healer," but the most effective method is probably taking the Healing advantage and modding it out to whatever specs you need. In today's GURPS101 post I've listed all the relevant modifiers for Healing, some new ones, and a example too boot.
