Here's a Phoenix update. As always, it's available from my GCA tools page.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.03 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Updated the Campaign Log block:
    • Added an option to control whether the Campaign Log block prints on a new page at the end of the sheet (default: yes). If set to 'no', the Campaign Log block will print after the Points Summary block, and also after the Notes and Description blocks if they are printing there as well.
    • The campaign log point aggregates, Logged, Other, and Total, now print at the top of the campaign log, before any of the log entries.
    • Fixed a minor glich.

Here's a Phoenix update. As always, it's available from my GCA tools page.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.04 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Changed how the Spell Grimoire treats the Prereq field, so that non-numeric values within the field do not cause the sheet to crash.

Here's a Phoenix update. As always, it's available from my GCA tools page.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.05 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Changed the Skill block so that it no longer prints the level or relative level fields for items which are only parent items (i.e. parent items created with "_New Parent Item"). This change does not affect parents which are also either skills or techniques (i.e. parent items created by using the Make Parent menu item on an existing skill or technique). This is in accordance with changes made to the basic data files by the July 20, 2006 data update.

Has anyone done VB script versions of the character sheets in the GURPS Update -- the print version not the pdf one.
Thanks.

Here's a Phoenix update. As always, it's available from my GCA tools page.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.06 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Replaced the global print bonuses and conditionals option with three new options, one for each group that made use of the old global option: the template/advantage/disadvantage group (default: no), the social group (default: yes), and the skill/spell group (default: yes).
  • Added an option to sort the skill/spell group spell list by spell college (default: no). Since it now has its own option, the spell list is no longer affected by the skill list's category sorting option.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.07 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Fixed a print formatting issue in the Reaction Modifiers block where an overall negative modifier for appearance and/or status would have a plus-sign prepended to it (e.g. a modifier of "-2" would print as "+-2").

I've got another request regarding Pheonix - the ability to turn on/off the displaying of bonuses & conditionals for skills & spells separately.

I like to print the bonuses for skills, but doing so for Spells seems extremely redundant, and looks really ugly when you have multiple Magery advantages, one with a One College Only limitation (+1 from Magery, +2 from Magery, -2 from Magery, +2 from Magery repeated 20 times is just ugly)

Here's a Phoenix update. As always, it's available from my GCA tools page.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix, version 1.08 ChangeLog
------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Replaced the print bonuses and conditionals for the skill/spell group option with three new options, one for each major subgroup: skills and techniques (default: yes), ritual magic paths (default: no), and spells (default: no).
  • Added a new options section, Column Break Options, which includes options to force column-breaks before most of the major blocks. This is mainly useful to push blocks that would only be able to print a few lines in their starting column before running out of space to the next column before they start printing; for those that are bothered by that sort of thing.
PS: Several options, notably many in the skill/spell group, have had their names changed for the sake of internal consistency. While this doesn't affect how they work, no worries there, they will, in effect, be new to GCA since they have new names, so you may wish to check over your preferred options upon upgrading to make sure any customized option settings have not reverted to the sheet defaults. My apologies for the inconvenience.

This may sound a bit a-retentive, but are there any screenshots of any of the discussed character sheets?

Just curious...

Ok - just previewed a bunch of the sheets - all excellent looking and obviously a lot of work.
Thanks for giving us options!

On a side note - I am using the Phoenix 1.08 sheet and I'm having an issue with it listing encumberance incorrectly. For the character I'm using the hvy encumberance is listed as 144, and the character has a selected load-out of 130.5, but the sheet lists the encumberance as over x-hvy! Any suggestions?

Well, the data in question comes straight from GCA, all Phoenix does is format it a bit. You should only see the warning that your current encumbrance level exceeds x-heavy if GCA thinks it does.

If you don't mind, start GCA and open the character in question. Under the Load-Out Manager window, at the bottom, which load-out is chosen in the Encumbrance Load-Out section? Also, directly to the right of the Encumbrance Load-Out section, what does its accompanying Load Weight and Enc. Level fields have listed?
