IOU Team names

Working on a Harry Potter/ IOU cross fanfiction. It's still in the early stages, so I'm not sure if it will ever see the light of day, but Harry and friends are off to see the football team play, and I was wondering if IOU has an official team name, like the University of Minnesota's Golden Gophers, or Wisconsin's Badgers, etc.

So, unless there is an official name, I was going to call them the IOU Explosions.

(The football team is playing Whassamatta University with their new quarterback, Bulwinkle J. Moose. On Sunday the Moopsball team plays The City Inbetween's team. But I digress.)

This whole thing started with a message on a yahoo group:

From a genre point of view, if Harry doesn't stay in Hogwarts, you
lose his interaction with the rest of the known characters. I've been
fooling around with an idea of Harry getting invited to IOU, but, like
_Brave New World_, I'd have to create a whole new set of friends.

Unless the entire rest of the school ends up there?

Prologue

"So, Dean, you're telling me some two bit headmaster of a pig school has intercepted our communication with Potter?"

"Call me "Fred". And I'm afraid so, Archdean," the dean of the School of Metaphysics answered.

The Archdean sat back and ran her hand through her hair, knocking the halo askew. It bumped up against one of her horns and stayed at a rather jaunty angle. "Fred" thought she looked incredibly cute when she did that. There was a knock on the door, and the Dean of the College of Temporal Happenstance, Ultimate Lies, and Historical Undertakings walked in.

"Right on time, Doctor," the Archdean said to the curly haired black
man. "Let me invite you to this meeting, and we can get on with it."

Doctor What^7 and "Fred" greeted each other, as the Archdean told her
secretary to invite Doctor What^7 to her office at, she glanced at her
watch and subtracted a minute and gave that time.

"Now, Doctor, I have a little bit of time and space engineering for
you. The Pigwarts' Express. . . ."

"Hogwarts," "Fred" corrected.

"Whatever. It's a rail road train and it runs from London to
Hogwarts? in Scotland on the first of September. I'd like you to
reroute the train so it arrives here on August 28, just past the chaos of
Froshthing orientation. "Fred," you'll have approximately 280 new
students this term. You're in charge of getting housing and
re-routing their Hogwarts tuition to IOU. You know what to do?"

"Yes Archdean," "Fred" answered, rubbing his hands. They hadn't had
so many students in the Department of Metaphysics since before
Atlantis sank.

The Doctor nodded. "There was a week last spring when the
C.T.H.U.L.H.U. students disappeared and gave me a note from myself to
give them all "A" in temporal engineering. I think this is what I
used them for. Yes, this is quite doable. It might even be fun."

"Fine, get to it."

Footnote: The following crossovers have occurred: IOU (of course), Doctor Who, Faust, and (in a very minor way) Lovecraft. Also a Star Wars reference.

The Team, yes the 'The' is also capitalized, play moopsball sir. The Team would never be caught playing something as wussy as 'football' or any of the other ninny sports some professors turn coaches try to get started like water polo, rugby, death race 2TPK, gladiatorial cybercombat, global thermonuclear war...

Cant answer the question but hope to read it sometime.
I really would love to see IOU given a new edition. Maybe even a quarterly newspaper.

One other thing you can try is to have Potter attending IOU after the Battle of Hogwart's, when he's a legal adult in the muggle world as well as the wizarding world. Seeking out a university to continue his studies (which were interrupted since he was on the run most of his seventh year), he gets an offer from IOU....

According to the IOU book, members of The Team also play football and know how to play most other sports. They play football on Saturday, and then play the three day moopsball game on Sunday afternoons.

While (in my headcanon) Illuminati University is always four hours north of whereever you start from (no matter the mode of transportation), it is, in description, an American university. And there is just too much money (for the school, not the players) in college football for the Archdean to ignore that revenue.

So, without any answer, the IOU teams name is the Explosion, and the mascot will be a student in a mushroom cloud costume, suitably animated*, so as to not be accused of being a sh*t eating fungus.

What about "The Fnords"?

Or just "The O's"? What does the "O" stand for? You're not cleared to know that.

But whatever the team name, sport, or uniform, their nickname should be "The Men In Black" (except for the female teams, known as "The Women In Black". And co-ed teams, "The Things In Black"). Their theme song is Frank Black's "Men In Black".
