Alright, lets see if I'm understanding damage to crew correctly then

The SM+4 Sherman tank is being attacked to the body with a Panzerfaust and is hit

The Panzerfaust rolls 63 damage against DR 21 (since it was reduced to 21 from 210 by the (10)), 42 damage goes to the tanks HP

Since damage penetrated DR we go to the Occupant Hit Table, and see for a SM+4 vehicle with 2 occupants (driver and radio operator are in the body, the other 3 are in the turret) they need an 8 or less to be injured, and will be 8d of injury if injury occurs?

On an attack to the vitals do you still roll for occupant damage?

edit - apparently vehicles take extra damage from attacks to vitals from piercing, impaling, or tight beam burning . . . . not however from Panzerfausts, so no point aiming the panzerfaust at the vitals

Quite likely not, as the vitals of many vehicles probably don't qualify as an occupied location. Though they might on a large vehicle with engineering spaces around the engines. Or even relatively small vehicles of some designs, like a tank without a separate engine compartment.

IIRC, there's a special effect from a Major Wound to vehicular Vitals.

Whether the cr ex damage type is the right one for HEAT may be a worthwhile question too...
