Ideas for Removing large numbers of items

I'm sure everyone has had those games where there is one player or a few that have a large amount of items compared to the other players. Besides curses that make them lose an item and thievery there isn't much that can be done. So i propose cards that make having the most items a disadvantage or cards that target the player with the most. I'd like to here your ideas and thoughts.
