Re: Some Custom Quirks
That's a lot like Friendly Comment Negator earlier in the thread; I'd say that one's a -5 point OPH, too.

Re: Some Custom Quirks
Agreed. I'd probably call the whole category "OPH: Whiplash Comments."

Unless you mean he should get the full -5 points for the OPH, then can take a perk allowing him to make a Diplomacy roll to avoid the reaction penalty. That's probably fair, but rather complicated.

Re: Some Custom Quirks
A gaming buddy of mine used to always call me (at work, yet) "s***head." I eventually mentioned to him that I took that to mean he thought I was an idiot, and he looked surprised. He thought he was merely speaking "colorfully."
He later told me, completely matter-of-factly, absolutely hair-raising stories of his childhood. (His father was a two-meter tall violent alcoholic.) I eventually realized he had the absolute thickest skin of anyone I ever met; no wonder. Don't know if anyone would want to model any of that in gameplay terms, but people who toss casual insults aren't always jerks, sometimes they're just used to that and worse... |

Re: Some Custom Quirks
Mea culpa :o I should know better, considering where I am. Of course I meant the computer games originally based on RPGs that share the title out of convenience.
