Ditto.

A small bug I've noticed (in version 2008.01.01) in the cost of Resistant: Disease, +3 to HT rolls should be 10 * 0.33 --> 3.3, round down to --> 3. On GCS it is charging me 4. See Basic p. 81, 1st column, last paragraph: "Resistant to Disease +3 [3]".

My guess is this is an odd one because you usually round in such away as to make things more expensive for the character. (I just checked the 1st printing errata, and it doesn't say the 3 point cost is an error.)

And oh, THIS PROGRAM ROCKS.

This does seem to be wrong. I just took a look at the code and it is clearly forcing it upwards even if the fraction is less than 1/2... which I don't think is right (and certainly isn't for this case). I've made the change necessary to get this type of calculation to work correctly -- I hope I'm not causing some other obscure case to now fail. Obviously, you'll either have to build from source or wait until I do another new release before you can see the change.

A bug I've found: On my machine (Mac OSX 10.4) the entire right half of the character sheet is missing. It's cut off by the window, but expanding the window doesn't help.
Templates and libraries seem not to suffer from this.

I didn't have to wait long! Thanks.

I have a user question, and if this is not the best place to ask such questions, somebody please redirect me. The "lvl" of my Ranged Weapons are coming up 0's.

This is a character for a Star Trek campaign and I added Phasers to his equipment. It seems like there should be a way to tell GCS to use Beam Weapons (Pistol) skill for the "lvl" of this piece of equipment. Is there a way to do this?

If you look at the bottom of the Ranged Weapon window upon clicking an entry, pull the window height down a bit, there's a list there for what skill level to default it to. Just add in the requisite defaults and skills there, I believe.

"Ranged Weapon window"? Either the pull down didn't reveal anything or I don't know how to call up a Ranged Weapon window.

Your post did give me an idea however. I duplicated the laser pistol and edited the copy. Now my Phasers are working fine.

When editing a piece of equipment, in the ranged weapon tab, you have to select the line for a particular set of stats. Once you do, an area below shows the skills / attributes / whatever the weapon uses. You may have to grow the window a bit to see it, as that screen is a bit busy (it is screaming out for a redesign... but I just don't have the time or inclination right now).

In response to your earlier query: although you're perfectly welcome to ask questions here on SJG's forums, the best place would be on the GCS mailing list.

Thanks for the update. I really love this program since I use linux at home. What is great about it is that I have the windows version on a memory stick so I can run it at work and work on GURPS stuff from there, and I can use the same memory stick and run it on my linux computer (just running the jar file using java -jar GCS.jar hehe). This really is great since when I try to use the GCA in linux, I get to a certain point and the program halts with numerous wine errors. Thanks =)

This is usually a mis-configured printer setting. Try going into Page Setup and make sure the correct page size is selected.
