Default More Classic GURPS Books Available On Demand

We've recently made four new books available through the GURPS On Demand program:
Print-on-demand technology makes it easier and more convenient than ever to build your GURPS library. It's like magic! (It might even be magic . . .)

Are the POD pictures animated, like the ones in the Daily Prophet? Sign me up, at least as long as they can be delivered by owl post.

Yay, a way to replace my old books when they fail their HT rolls against the game table's disintegration field!

As a side note, I recently bought Mass Combat PoD, and the spine does not have the name of the book on it, is this the case with all of these, or just some?

A book has to be a certain size before a title will fit (and fit legibly) on the spine, and CreateSpace seems to have looser tolerances than most. Hall of Judgment's title is on the spine at 128 pages; my 52 and 64-page books didn't fit.

To add a bit to Douglas' (correct) answer:

Yes, books need to be a certain thickness to have anything on the spine. IIRC, anything under 100 pages is just plain not allowed . . .
and anything under about 130 pages — our standard GURPS book thickness! — is discouraged. (Unlike offset printing, there's a bit more variance in POD prints, so they can't assure that the spine text will actually be on the spine; a 3mm variance is really significant at that scale!)

Is GURPS Wizards likely to be offered as POD in 2019?

There aren't plans at this time, but — to quote Yoda — "Always in motion is the future."

Wizards has a subtle-but-tricky issue with its margins that makes a POD version a challenging proposition. We're not saying "No," but it's certainly not as straightforward as most of our other POD projects, and we'd need to make sure it'd be worth the cost and effort before we tackle it.

I have a Player who has eye out for Warriors, so I imagine there are those keenly looking for Wizards.

Nice! Vikings was missing from my collection. so I ordered that one up earlier last week, and it arrived yesterday, just in time for Black Friday.

I picked up a few more of the GURPS On Demand books to fill in some gaps in my library. Bestiary, and now Special Ops and Covert Ops just landed last night.

Great quality, and glad to see the books available in print. I appreciate the SJG is putting both 3rd and 4th edition GURPS books into POD.
