Not finding resistance in RPM book

In GURPS: Thaumatology Ritual Path Magic resistance is mentioned many times, but I have never actually found the basics of those mechanics!

Do targets roll to resist? Is it a contest? What stats or skills are involved?

And most importantly, where can I find this in the book?
