This is The Lake Of Voices from Moorcock's second Corum novel "The Queen of Swords." But after the events of the novel, when the trapped souls were freed.

Road & Track magazine gets a sneak peek at a new BMW 6-series convertible accessorized with a heavy machine gun. Also, Forgotten Weapons tells us that the Ukrainian franchise of Uncle Albert's has been doing a nice business in conversion kits for PKT coaxial machine guns salvaged from Russian tanks.

That was apparently a gift from the mayor of one Ukrainian city to Ukrainian defense forces. When a reporter asked the mayor what problem it was intended to solve, the mayor replied, "Tailgaters."

Holes the size of city blocks are forming in the Arctic seafloor

Well, at least we know where R'lyeh is, now, even though dreamtime is over. Though with any luck, maybe it's just the mole-people resurfacing from the center of the hollow Earth. Whatever the plot-line, GMs might find some colorful details with which to kick off their campaigns.

Around here, we suspect our former manager, Jeff, who has a history of going a bit overboard with his Halloween home decorating.

He refuses to either confirm or deny any knowledge of the caper.

We're looking forward to seeing this year's Halloween theme, at Jeff's house. 😀

And allegations of two nuclear weapons as well. Imagine the possibilities inherent in an irradiated piece of the True Cross, aboard a ship at the bottom of the Black Sea...
