Default How do you display squad numbers with your infantry miniatures?

I'm curious as to how you all represent the number of squads each infantry miniature base represents? Do you remove figures from the base as the squads get reduced, or do you use some other method?

I made a variety of the pewter infantry minis with 1, 2, or 3 troopers. Different colors for marines, engineers, or marine engineers. I put a Heavy Weapon Marker with a model until it is used. I did use some other 6mm game infantry to round out the infantry minis once they went out of print way back when.

For the plastic minis the clip-in stands seem to be pretty usable, but I haven’t tried using them.

I have plastic minis on bases with 1, 2 or 3 squads. I just swap them out.

However, more often I just use cardboard counters for infantry to reduce the possibility of damage to the plastic minis.

I based all my INF figures on 3/4" diameter x 1/32" thick laser cut plexiglas discs I found on eBay. They are arranged such that of the 42 figures in Minis Set #1, four are 1/1, four are 2/1, and then ten are 3/1 units. We swap them out during game play to represent losses.

Marines are done the same way, but are based on blue plastic "bingo chips" of the same size as the plexiglas discs.

For the HWT I used a single figure from the Mechwarrior line of plastic minis, taken off an "SRM Team" set.

Figure removal and with an insane amount of little magnets.

It was really worth the time, very happy with the way this works:

We had The Bermuda Triangle game when I was a kid. The game itself was a bit dry, but the magnetic cloud that sucks up ships was amazing. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/...rmuda-triangle

Magnetic INF could be a very satisfying addition to Ogrethulu .

Bravo for the insanity. I can see the advantages. I didn't go there, just made up bases with one, two, and three figures on a penny.
