Is there a way to export text from the Phoenix character sheet? On a related note, what happens if you choose print to file with Phoenix? I tried it, gave the output a file name, but then never could find a name by that file?

Not conveniently. You'd certainly be better off using an export sheet or straight XML dump for that sort of thing. What are you trying to export?

Print to file? That's a relic from yon olde days. Depending on your printer, it might not work at all (in fact, it probably doesn't work). If it does, it will likely create a file in your Documents directory (likely under your GURPS Character Assistant 4 directory someplace). The file will, essentially, be the raw printer language/codes which describe your document to the specific printer it was created for (basically, the raw printer data, but sent to a file instead).

That functionality, printing a file to disk which you may then later send to the printer, has largely been supplanted by things like printing to PDF (which is both printer agnostic and viewable without printing).

Phoenix has some nice grouping features for skills and equipment load outs that would be great to be able to capture as text.
