SSL Forums?
I noticed these forums are not secured, nor is there an option to manually log in using https://forums.sjgames.com. The "secure logon" page explicitly states that it will not work with the forums...
This is a privacy concern. Is there something I missed? Is there any consideration for enabling SSL? Maybe it has come up before. Sorry if so. Could not find the answer. |

Re: SSL Forums?
I've mentioned it in the past, yes:
http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=148152 I have an idea why this hasn't been addressed yet - SJGames is a relatively small company, and time spent fixing the Secure HTTP issue is time not spent keeping the e-store running or developing games. (That's just a guess, mind you.) As an interim measure, I suggest using a password here that you don't use anywhere else.

Re: SSL Forums?
Password uniqueness doesn't help with privacy concerns, as all posts you read and make are also sent clear text.

Re: SSL Forums?
It means your password being insecure doesn't put you at risk anywhere else.

Re: SSL Forums?
You're reading and posting to a publicly-readable site. Is this a concern?

Re: SSL Forums?
What someone is reading in particularly is far more informative than knowing "there's some stuff on the internet that someone may or may not be reading". And of course Private Messages are private.
