I intended this map to be very . . . different, from previous maps. Certainly most of the current scenarios would be difficult to port over. I have some ideas for scenarios, but that's down the road.

More importantly, I hope you all have some ideas for scenarios, but more on that at a later date!

Two scenarios suggest themselves immediately:
  • King of the City: Give both sides the same amount of points and battle it out until one side controls the city (someone will probably concede once things reach a certain imbalance, so it doesn't have to be a slog). It might be even more interesting with more than two factions - get some Diplomacy-style negotiation going.
  • City Raid: Put a strategic objective and some laser towers just south of the city. The raiders come on from the north and have to take out the strategic objective.

Preorder Update: We're almost at the 50% mark. Another day like yesterday and we'll have to send the file off for final printing and transform the playmat design into reality.

Well - with that nice large river like that in the centre, there's certainly options for a good-sized dockyard with a mid-river/mid-estuary defence base.

Or - a railway hub - a power station - a castle overlooking the city.... options, options!
