At least for Wear a Badge, Carry a Gun the detectives were all assigned to one planet. I expect this to be the same.

Good point. I had only been thinking of using some of the caper-codifying rules; that is very far from clear and the impression is misleading.

Results are in. My favourite We Came, We Saw… was about as popular as bacon at a bar mitzah.

Voyage of the Starship 'Icebird' has been borne by cheering into actuality, and it looks as though two of the prospective players will be waiting for me to get Icebird off the ground, then recruiting a third team member and starting a Secret Servants campaign.

It surprises me that the second was so much more popular than the first, since they are effectively the same setting. Yes, Icebird is weird and experimental, but it's also weird and experimental - I thought the neat vs. unstable tradeoff was about even, and rated it at the same level as the bacon.

Is it the perceived "agency"/authority that makes Snowbuzzard more attractive?

Is it the window into the higher level decision making?

Is it dislike for playing the plebes?

I'm kind of curious - if anyone wants to share I'd appreciate it.

The first one specifies "dark humour in the vein of M*A*S*H" and that by itself was sufficient to convince me I didn't want to play in it. And the troupe-style play aspect of the second was appealing; one of my most successful campaigns, Manse, had four characters per player. So I would like to try that.
