Running out of cards in hand
Went out and bought munchkin and the next day went back and bought de-ranged, clerical errrors. Looking through the rules we dont see anything in the rule book about what happens when you run out of cards in hand. What do you guys do about this?

Re: Running out of cards in hand
There are plenty of opportunities to get new cards, unless you are really unlucky and get monsters you can't beat every time you Kick Open the Door.
If you get neither a monster nor a Curse when you KOtD, then you get to keep the card and you will also likely Loot the Room to get a second Door later in the turn. Even if you got a Curse, you get to Loot the Room, so you should be getting new cards quite a bit. If you are finding monsters you can defeat or are Looking for Trouble, then you'll be getting Treasure cards for the monsters you are defeating. And if you still find you aren't getting enough cards, then you could also play the optional Faster Play rules (check the last page of the rules) that guarantee you a Door card each turn via Listening at the Door and give you a Treasure when you Loot the Room. |

Re: Running out of cards in hand
Nothing happens, which is why there isn't anything in the rules. However, there are plenty of chances to get cards, as noted above. Of course, Clipper missed death. You can try to lose to a Monster that kills you if you can't Run Away from it and hope for a bad roll. Doing anything special would be a house rule, so any discussion in that direction belongs in the house rule thread.

I myself have had very few games where lack of cards was an issue. if it happens is usually just bad luck.
