Default Trader discarding a card to pick up an "no value item"

Just like the title says, what are your guys thoughts on a trader discarding a 500 gold item to pull a card with "no value" item?

The cards with "no value" confusing us.

Thanks

It's been ruled previously that No Value is equivalent to 0 Gold Pieces, so this is acceptable. Note that the card you discard must also be an Item, of course.

Yes. All such "No Value" cards are Items and all Items can be played to the table and then traded. Here's a statement from the FAQ that officially states how to treat "No Value":

A. Absolutely. "No Value" is exactly the same as "0 Gold Pieces," so you can sell these Items unless the card says otherwise. (But "No Value" must appear on the card! If a card has nothing at all listed for a value, it is not an Item and cannot be sold.)
