Brand New - Walking Dead Question

Hi, I just ordered the Steampunk set and the munchkin zombies walking dead expansion. Can these be played together, or did I need to order the zombie game?

The Walking Dead expansion will certainly work better with the Zombie Core. I don't have Steampunk yet, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have Mojos and Powers which are two of the classifications of Zombies. That said blending sets is a lot of fun but blending with core sets is recommend, so Zombies, Walking Dead, & Steampunk would work better than what you have.

If you're completely new to Munchkin I'd also recommend getting used to one set on it's own first. So play Steampunk a lot before you try blending.

The conceit in Munchkin Zombies is that you are the zombies.

So, with the Walking Dead expansion, you'll have cards that refer to things that don't exist in Steampunk. For the most part, this is fine. The Walking Dead cards will add the survivors from the comic series as Monsters for you to kill.
