Discarding Question

I know you can only trade and sell items not races, classes etc. But What if you have cards in your hand you simply do not want, can you discard class and race cards in the appropriate pile or lay them down in front of you? In short, what do you do with cards you do NOT want??

Keep them as fodder for Charity. You need to reduce your hand to five cards at the end of your turn, so those are the perfect cards to give away (if you are not at the lowest-Level) or discard (if you are) at that time.

Cards like that are also perfect for discarding to activate class and race abilities.
