Posession of Machines
How would you model a being able to posess a machine? For example, a poltergeist able to posess a car (or toaster or oven or giant alien death machine)? A car, for example, can't normally do anything on its own - it has no mind, and in order to turn or go faster or whatever you need to turn the wheel, push down the gas pedal, etc. It also has no Will score. Would you be able to use the normal Posession advantage? Would you need to modify it in some way?
Personally, I'm thinking a +0% modifier - Machine Posession would make the roll against HT instead of Will and lets you posess nonliving things but not posess living things. Any other ideas? Is there an official write-up of this anywhere? |

I'd just use Permeation. You could Permeate into a bulldozer and then just operate the controls from the inside. Maybe need just a little telekinesis.

TK, to manipulate the pedals (etc). It's not really possession if there's no mind or nervous system, for that matter. Poltergeists are also good at throwing things around.
I'd allow Digital Possession for a sufficiently advanced TL8/9 car with drive-by-wire and everything else controlled by computer. |
