That's why I say it's Rules Exemption perk. It's no bigger advantage than the stuff we did in Gun-Fu to accommodate that genre -- all of which would work as Rules Exemption perks. No reloading, ever? In a gun-centric game? For one plint? Wow! Carry all the weapons you want, shoot heavy weapons from the hip, for only one point? Sure, if it's in genre. I think this is a good case for Rules Exemption. You can handle it other ways, like the Striker method, but that sames a little much for many cases when all you want is to lift that one rule.

It just seems a bit generous to avoid such a major drawback to unarmed fighting for one point.

I'm allowing Trained By A Master to come with this rule exemption automatically, though, with the exception that a critical success on a parry lets the defender either hit you for half damage or send you to the critical miss table, his choice. Seems fair on paper but no one has a TBAM guy to try it with.

Mlangsdorf implemented this option too. Don't know if we had a martial artist in the game afterwards though.
