Indeed not. I'm actually pretty happy about "bad", "mediocre", "fair", "good", "excellent", and "superb" being ordered, so long as there is nothing better than superb.

It's when "great" and "legendary*" and other terms that are not literally terms of quality get interspersed that I start to have trouble: King Arthur is legendary, Charles le Magne is great but historical — this implies nothing about which was the better king. Things don actually get difficult until I have to work out what "fair plus two" is.
