Couple of Hireling questions

Hello, I have two questions about Hirelings:

1. Can a hireling wear Horseshoe Crabs? I know they may carry any item, but this one requires two pairs of feet after all.

2. The "Cheat" card gives you max bonus on an item. For example: if you use item that gives +2 bonus and +4 for orcs, with cheat it will give you +4. What about a (not orc) Hireling?

It doesn't matter what the requirements are with respect to Hands, Armor, Headgear, or Footgear when it comes to what a Hireling can use.

The Cheat! card does no such thing. However, to answer you actual question, Orc Hireling would get the better bonus from an Item that would give an Orc a better bonus.
