Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
I thought this thread would be a good place for people to announce when their Kickstarter orders arrive.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
Nothing here yet, but last night I started gluing up "Heroscape" tiles into an "Ogre" map for them. It'll be about 23.5" x 40" overall, and once glued, is actually rather solid. If it proves a bit flimsy in use or transport, I'll attach it to some foamcore for stiffness. Painting begins later today ...

Yes, guilty as charged! I went with a plain 'standard' surface for everything, and have something lined up for the craters -- but no spoilers yet.
Additional: Since we can't add photos, here is the entry I made at BGG: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/27350405 Last edited by Mack_JB; 11-04-2017 at 07:35 PM. |

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
I recreated the original Ogre map with Heroscape tiles a while back, it’s still hanging on my basement wall, lol.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
Thank You! I love your craters, and I knew I'd seen one before, but I couldn't find it again when I started looking for it.
Next up, perhaps a G.E.V. map ... that one will need nearly twice as many tiles. I also think it will look better if I use just the single tiles, since that also automatically gives you the well defined hex edges. |

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
US - Fulfillment is starting. All packages should be shipped by the end of this week, but we'll know a lot more in the next day or two.
Rest of World - Nothing is shipping yet. The volume of minis was not large enough to make multiple containers an option, so items are being shipped to US backers and then forwarded on to the next stage in the process.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
Got my tracking number today, delivery expected Friday after next.
In one year I've got Deluxe G.E.V. (the big boards plus the large classic counters from W23), the Ogre computer game (I gifted a copy to a friend so I bought it twice), and now toy plastic units. Ogre was the game that got me into gaming (after chess I suppose). Words cannot express how pleased I am with these things. A thousand thank yous to all who made these things possible. |
