As [I think] I've said before, it's not just investigator attrition, it's endemic--it's the designers, the fans, the genre, the quality of the BRP system itself, everything really. Just fed up with the whole shebang.

However, yay! Vampires! Need some vampires for my new Delta Green-ish game!

Also, I don't think ghouls will be attacked too often with knives, spears, picks or rapiers, so I guess it really doesn't matter too much.

Not gonna happen. But wait until Christmas, then I'll give you Father Christmas, Santa Claus and all the elves...

Yeah, well, why should you give two hoots about the fans? It's your game. Ignore what those CoC snobs say. As for the BRP system, who cares? You're playing GURPS, right? But all that aside, as I said, I know where you're coming from. CoC can get a little stale sometimes, and can most definitely feel very dated for me. The horrors conceived by Lovecraft in the 1920-1930's don't really scare me. I would much rather see a horror game based on J-Horror movies like Ringu and Dark Water (Japanese versions) or video games like Silent Hill.

But enough of that. Feel free to use my vampires, and you could always file off the serial numbers and use the cthulhoid creatures in a horror setting of your own design.

Take care,

Max

What about the Cthuloid beasties' propensity for leaving people that see them blithering idiots drooling on the floor until they get eaten? Affliction?

I guess I'll leave that up to the Fright Check modifiers. Besides, the creatures I have listed so far are all at the low end of the scale, where it is possible to survive an encounter with one with your sanity intact, more or less.
