Re: Shotgun Slugs
>So a 437gr slug, 18.5mm, 1585fps should do about 5d damage. Clearly it's pi++ due to size.
Yep. A 12-gauge 2.75" slug does 4d+2 pi++ in GURPS HIGH-TECH 4e. A 12-gauge 3" Magnum would get about 5d pi++. >For shot, some large buckshot is pi (00 and 000 buck); everything else is pi- or smaller, per pellet. Almost. 0 Buck to 0000 Buck is pi; everything else pi-. That is a mistake in GURPS BASIC SET (they sample loads there are of course meant to be 00 Buck). I notified the errata coordinator a long time ago, but he has not responded yet. Anyway, this is what HIGH-TECH says. Cheers HANS Last edited by HANS; 05-23-2005 at 08:42 AM. |

10G slug: 6d pi++ 12 G slug: 5d pi++ 20 G slug: 4d+1 pi++ (well, almost, I've got some funky house rules, so the damages are 1dx6, 1dx5, and 1dx4+1, respectively, with some wierdness for the piercing damage, but the above is as close as it gets for standard GURPS). I hope this helps, Luke |
