2019 Granite State Challenge
Hi all,
We ran our annual "big" Car Wars event this weekend in New Hampshire. 15 players, lots of carnage and 80's gaming at its best. I have an album of pics here if interested. https://imgur.com/a/qSZjuLv A question came up and I think we handled correctly but it never hurts to check up: Flame cloud ignition - Someone starts the turn in the cloud before it ignites. Do they move 1st, or does the cloud ignite 1st? Thanks! H |

Re: 2019 Granite State Challenge
Movement normally happens before firing. Also if they moved into it you would apply the damage immediately after they move.
I'd say that means they move first, before it ignites. |

Thanks. That was the logic I applied to it yesterday when asked. We had to play ignition 1st to stay consistent with a previous call, but this make sense in the absence of anything spelling it out specifically. H |

I'd concur on this - flaming oil, flame clouds, cloud bombs, etc. which aren't active yet, become so during the firing step of a phase.

No arguments here -- move, then bang.
