We have been looking for ways to get core books (such as GURPS Magic) back into print. It's just crucial that we do so in a manner that earns money rather than loses it, and the relatively low demand for physical RPG books makes that tricky. But I wanted to make sure you knew that this is a concern -- one that we are currently, actively working on addressing.

FWIW, I would definitely buy a 4th edition if there was one (and obviously if it fixed at least some of the problems with the current edition). I suspect that I am a poor bellwether for the market though.

Getting the existing edition of Magic back into print is something we want to do. But we currently have no plans to make a new edition.

Has the current printing/PDF version of Magic been updated with the changes to the spells that will show up in the boxed set?

No, because the DFRPG book Spells is not GURPS Magic. They are from two separate lines.

Sure, I understand that. However I am sure you understand that I have no plans to buy another copy of a book that I already own. ;)

We don't expect anyone to buy multiple copies of any book. We just want to make it possible for the people who are lacking any core books to acquire them in print.

While B&W is nice, is there an option for a two-color printing like what most pages of modern GURPS books are?

Are you going to get the existing edition back in print?

If you want to see more print books, buying the ones which are in print (and having your friends buy them) is the best you can do. Gamers expect unreasonably low prices for game books (although I come from a group which took it for granted that you had a set of the core books, and maybe a spare copy of the character-creation rules, and not much else).
