Is the future now?
Some of the Car Wars 6th Edition concept art has drawn comments that it is too futuristic, too sleek. That may be true -- but while some of the art we've shown off is a dead-on reflection of some aspects of the Car Wars world, please remember there are other aspects we haven't shown yet.
But too futuristic? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the 2016 Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo ...

Futuristic and neat, but still recognizable as a car. It has the familiar proportions of a car, four wheels in the position cars have had for many decades and doors.

Re: Is the future now?
FINALLY... that's the first Bugatti that I approve of. I actually love it. And I've hated Bugatti's for years.
I don't recall the exact criticism, but I think the its not the complaining that the cars are too futuristic its that the concept art drawings don't make sense... such as being too low to the ground while looking like it should be an offroader. But on the other hand... if I recall a lot of car manufacturers concept art shows similarly wild drawings where the cars generally have no ground clearance and are supposed to possibly resemble a possible production car which by law in the US is required to have at least 4" of clearance from the lowest part of the car to the ground. So for me personally, when I see things that don't make sense like that I take it with a grain of sugar... knowing that the "real" model or car will actually be functional in its final form. That's a 5 million dollar car with no guns. So... Division 5 million?

Re: Is the future now?
I've seen a couple of race cars on the local freeways connecting SF with San Jose (silicon valley). Earthquake country does wonders to roads, and eats up the underside of any low slung racer trying to negotiate lumpy freeways.
