Why wasn't it a hole? I was expecting a plug of earth lifted up, the bodies dumped in, and the earth dropped back down.

By the way, unstable forms will maintain their shape until the spell expires with no concentration required. Of course that isn't needed as Gidhean could just drop the pile next to the hole and pick it up again when it's time to bury.

Actually, Gidhean didn't specify how the earth was moved. Perhaps he can clarify.

That's exactly why there's no more hole -- the earth was dropped back on immediately afterwards.

What I meant to do was to slightly move the earth away, making a hole, or something similar, and once that the bodies were tucked in, "pull" the earth back. Easy as that.

Duration of the spell is one minute. I assumed that you moved the earth out from under the bodies, let them fall into the hole, and covered them. The spell had run out when you kill the last bandit.

I think people may have forgotten that Marcus had gone a ways ahead and joined the conversation. I guess it is an RP-opportunity lost for Marcus and Aryn, but speeds up the addition of a new member a bit.
